This is it. Enough talking. Time to hit the road, or rather the sea.
I managed to track down the only company running ferries to Iran, that suddenly disappeared 1 month ago. They have now a 2 desks-office in an unmarked room in an unmarked prefab building at the end of a dust road at the very end of Sharjah port. Pretty dodgy... I have my visa for Iran and for Azerbaijan, I have all the papers for the car. The remote for the winch should arrive tomorrow and I need to do a bit of welding on the tow bar. Then the big challenge will be to fit everything in the car in the coming days !
It is wishful thinking to clear customs at Bandar Abbas before the start of Ramadan. So I am getting ready for the 5-6 hours I will have to spend in their offices after the whole night on the boat. The aim is to be on the ferry on Tuesday night.
